Pottle Farm

Pottle Farm set in the heart of Cavan Country side, supplies Pottle Meats and Northern Delights with all of its bacon and pork. The pigs are bred and raised on the Pottle farm, which has undergone a complete redevelopment in the last 6 months.  The farm is welfare friendly, our brand new loose sow house (eu directive here) where the sows are free to roam and monitored daily and fed a cereal based diet. Pottle is Bord Bia approved, which means the farm has been audited for water quality, suitability of space, light and ventilation.  When the pigs reach maturity they are slaughtered in a locally approved abattoir and the carcasses are then taken to the factory at Pottle Meats where they are processed. Pottle Meats which is based outside of Cavan town is also Bord Bia approved.  

Pottle Meats are fully traceable from our farm, through our factory to your table.
